Tourism venues no longer compete on scenery alone — they compete on experience. Two of our delivered projects show how a large LED dome screen converts cultural IP into repeat ticket sales: the 60 m Kongtong Island dome, and the dome cinema that became the traffic engine of a dinosaur theme park.

The Proof: A Dome Cinema That Carries a Park

At Huangshi Garden Expo's dinosaur park, our 28 m and 22 m 720° acoustically transparent domes have run daily since June 2024. Attendance exceeded projections and media called it "a benchmark of culture-tourism integration". The mechanics are simple: an attraction that wraps every visitor in 360° content creates a photo-worthy, word-of-mouth moment — and a rain-proof, season-proof indoor anchor that keeps tickets selling year-round.

The Upgrade: Kongtong Island's 60 m Giant

Kongtong Shengjing in Yantai built its entire guest journey around a 60 m-diameter, 5,300 m² LED dome — Asia's largest. Inside: 8 lifting/opening ceiling screens, 6 mechanical doors with 12 mm seams, 10 lifting floor screens, a 6 m dome-in-dome sphere, wire-work performers flying through the imagery. The venue's five experience axes all route through the dome — it is not an attraction inside the park; it is the park's centerpiece.

Why Immersion Converts — Three Operator Lessons

  1. Sound sells the picture. Acoustically transparent panels (50% perforation, <0.02 s AV sync) make audio come from the imagery — the detail guests cannot articulate but always feel.
  2. Movement creates re-visits. Kinetic screens and morphing shows mean no two visits are identical; guests return for new sequences.
  3. Content is culture. Mount-mythology and Eight Immortals IP on Kongtong, prehistoric worlds at Huangshi — technology amplifies local stories instead of replacing them.

The Engineering Under the Business Case

Dome panels at 8.5 kg/m²; 150 W/m² max power at 1,200 nit (a quarter to a third of typical domes — direct OPEX savings at show volume); 7680 Hz refresh and ≤2ΔE uniformity for flawless guest photography and broadcast coverage; front/rear single-technician maintenance; coastal salt-fog protection validated by 72-hour spray testing.
